Preserving Character, Redefining Luxury in Moorestown

Interior Design: Holly Garber Interiors
Renovation: Ira Besser, Roman Builders

When this remarkable Victorian home first appeared on the market, Holly found herself revisiting the listing photos daily—captivated by its undeniable beauty, historic architecture, and untapped potential. Situated on a generous ¾-acre corner lot in the heart of Moorestown's Town Center, the property is surrounded by wide, tree-lined streets and a neighborhood steeped in character. From the beginning, it was clear this was no ordinary home—it was a hidden treasure waiting to be brought back to life.

Despite her excitement, Holly initially hesitated to present the opportunity to Ira. She wasn’t sure if she could convince him that this project—with all its scope and scale—was worth the significant investment. But the moment they stepped inside together, Ira could immediately see what Holly had already envisioned: the extraordinary potential to transform this home into a one-of-a-kind showplace.

Holly has a gift for identifying properties with soul—homes with architectural detail and history worth preserving—and for creating a design vision that honors their legacy while reimagining them for modern living. This Victorian was a perfect fit for her talents as an interior designer and her ongoing collaboration with Ira, Roman Builders, and their investment partner.

While Ira and the Roman team bring unmatched craftsmanship and building expertise, Holly leads the design process from start to finish—carefully curating every layout, finish, and detail to create spaces that feel layered, thoughtful, and timeless. She designs with intention, blending historic integrity with the functionality and beauty today’s families crave.

Every element of this renovation has been approached with meticulous care—from the soaring ceilings and oversized rooms to the considered additions and hand-selected materials. The result is a home that tells a story—one of vision, artistry, and reverence for the past, shaped with purpose for the future.
