Welcome to The Story Behind the Creek Road Transformation
Overview
My first visit to this home on Creek Road stayed with me long after I walked out the door. Even then, I could see what it was ready to become: a home designed around the way people live—open, welcoming, modern, and deeply connected to the outdoors.
From the moment you enter, the home is oriented toward the landscape—you can see straight through to the rear wall of windows and the expansive property beyond. The transformation of 408 Creek Road was driven by intentional flow and thoughtful gathering spaces. Walls were removed and sightlines were opened to create brighter, more expansive rooms, including a dramatic 34-foot family room with 16-foot ceilings. The kitchen was designed as the true heart of the home—supported by a dedicated scullery that functions like a secondary kitchen, keeping everyday life and entertaining effortless.
Just as important, the lower level was envisioned as a real destination—not an afterthought—with a temperature-controlled wine room, custom bar, dedicated golf simulator, and a designated gym with sauna, all designed to support gathering, celebration, and everyday fun.
The house was built about thirty years ago by a couple who designed it specifically for their family. They were personally involved in every decision—from the layout of the rooms to the countless details that shaped how the home would feel and function. This wasn’t a house built by a developer or purchased as a finished product. It was a home created intentionally, where they would raise their two daughters and build their life together.
Over the years, the property appeared on and off the market, but it never sold. When I first reached out to the owners, my intention was simply to explore the possibility of listing it.
Walking through the home changed everything.
As I moved from room to room, I could feel the history within its walls. The spaces were generous, the architecture had presence, and there was a warmth that only comes from a home where life has truly unfolded over many years. It didn’t feel like a property that had simply aged—it felt like a place that had been deeply loved.
The family’s story made that feeling even stronger. Much of their life in the home centered around caring for one of their daughters. Their devotion shaped the rhythm of the household and the years spent inside these walls. Standing there, I found myself imagining the life that had taken place within the home—the quiet routines, the moments of joy, and the memories that filled each room. It was impossible not to feel a deep respect for the family who built their lives here.
After that first visit, I couldn’t stop thinking about the house.
There was something about it that drew me in. I felt a connection to the home and to the family who had created it. As I walked through the rooms, I could already see what the next version of the home could become. The property, the scale of the rooms, and the setting all held incredible potential. But more than anything, I felt a responsibility to handle its transition with care.
From the beginning, my goal was to remove as much stress from the process as possible—allowing the owners the time and space to move forward comfortably and leave behind anything they no longer wanted or needed.
For me, this renovation is not simply about redesigning a house. It is about honoring the life that was lived here while creating a home that will welcome the next family with the same sense of warmth and belonging.
My goal is to create a home filled with beautiful spaces, lasting materials, and an atmosphere where new memories will naturally unfold for the family who will fall in love with it and have the pride and joy of calling it home.

Design Highlights and Philosophy
A 14-foot kitchen island designed for gathering

Professional-grade appliances, custom walnut cabinetry, and marble countertops bring together warmth, craftsmanship, and function—creating a space where people naturally gather.
Wide-plank wood flooring throughout the main level, with a herringbone pattern adding texture and architectural interest to the family room.
A primary suite created as a private retreat
The bathroom evokes the feeling of a personal spa, layered with rich, earthy stone finishes that bring warmth and natural beauty to the space. A spacious steam shower with multiple shower heads creates a deeply relaxing experience, while a freestanding soaking tub sits beneath a sunlit window. Custom walnut vanities, radiant heated floors, and layered lighting complete the atmosphere.
Just beyond the bath, the primary closet—fully custom designed by Holly—offers an elegant and highly functional environment tailored for daily living.
A dining room created for entertaining, featuring a striking 16-foot custom bar built specifically for this home. Framed with detailed millwork and designed as a focal point of the room, the bar transforms the dining space into a place where guests naturally gather—perfect for hosting celebrations, holiday dinners, and evenings with friends.
An Exceptional Lower Level
The home’s lower level was envisioned as a natural extension of the living and entertaining spaces above. With nine-foot ceilings, the scale of the space feels open, expansive, and welcoming.
At its center is a temperature-controlled wine room, created to properly store and display a serious collection. Nearby, a full entertaining bar paired with a substantial custom stone table creates a natural gathering place for conversation and hosting.
The main lounge area is anchored by a custom built wall with fireplace, adding warmth and architectural presence while creating an inviting space to relax or entertain.
This level of the home also includes:
- Two spacious guest bedrooms
- Two beautifully finished bathrooms
- A dedicated golf simulator room
- A large gym with sauna and space for multiple workout zones
- Additional areas offer flexibility for future possibilities—whether a private home theater, media lounge, playroom, or creative space.
Together, these elements create a lower level that functions as a private retreat within the home, offering space for recreation, wellness, and gathering.
